About The Position

SUMMARY Job requires employee to work with inventory performing cycle counts, quality checks, and completing sorting jobs. Familiarity with silicon and silicon specifications is needed to perform daily tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Employee moves/transports Silicon wafers weighing up to 50 pounds to designated area in warehouse.
  • Employee will position themselves to transfer wafers weighing of 50 pounds.
  • Employee must have good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills when dealing with wafers.
  • They will receive, replace or remove wafers weighing up to 50 pounds in a designated area or prepare for delivery to clients.
  • Employees may ascend or descent a ladder carrying up to 50 pounds of wafers to put back in stock or remove for client orders.
  • They may work atop a ladder to do company audit or restock/remove for client orders.
  • Employees may traverse to put silicon wafers weighing up to 50 pounds on pallets, shelves or in the WaferNet van.
  • Employee will detect, diagnose, remove or replace silicon wafers weighting up to 50 pounds.
  • The replacing of wafers can be on top shelve with removal by a forklift or on the lower shelve with removal by a power lift.
  • They will have to kneel to remove wafers on the floor weighing up to 50 pounds in the warehouse.
  • Employee will than move to a designated area, restock or prepare wafers for shipment to clients.
  • Employee handles/tends wafers for client or restocking.
  • Employee will prepare and inspect paperwork for shipping to clients.
  • May manually handle, repack, or restack pallets of finished product.
  • Employee prepares boxes of wafers for shrink-wrapping.
  • They assist in warehouse maintenance (sweeping and moping floors.)
  • Employee packages orders for out-of-town shipments.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as directed by Director of Operations.
  • Employees will communicate verbally or via email within organization to employees or clients when wafers are received.
  • They will determine the next step to complete the process of the wafers.
  • They will exchange information on the situation and express oneself between departments, freight carriers, clients and their managers.
  • Employee will detect any errors with the wafers or paperwork and communicate accurate information to the Director of the Operations.
  • They will recognize, identify and understand the paperwork that is attached to the wafers.
  • The employee will inspect all wafers upon arrival from the freight carrier and compare paperwork to wafers and make a judgment that receiving or delivery is accurate.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of Mechanical or Electrical experience is preferred or prevous experience in a production environment
  • Ability to read and understand technical procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from supervisors and managers.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
