About The Position
We are seeking a Materials Specialist who is fluent in Korean and English (reading, writing, and speaking required) to support material planning, inventory control, and production line support in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures materials are available to meet production schedules while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting effective communication between Korean-speaking leadership and plant teams.
Requirements
- Fluent in Korean and English (reading, writing, and speaking required)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- 2+ years of experience in materials, logistics, or manufacturing operations
- Experience supporting Korean leadership or global manufacturing organizations
- Experience with inventory control systems or SAP systems
- Forklift, Drexel, or other material-handling equipment experience
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or material flow principles
Responsibilities
- Support daily material flow to production lines to meet manufacturing schedules
- Communicate and translate materials-related information between Korean- and English-speaking teams as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and reconciliation
- Coordinate material movement, storage, and staging within the plant
- Support receiving, issuing, and line-side delivery of materials
- Assist with material shortages, expedites, and problem resolution
- Maintain accurate materials documentation, reports, and records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to materials flow and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and company procedures
