About The Position

Materials Management K-Level Manager-1 Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for Materials Management and Transportation to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, MO. Position Responsibilities Manages and integrates employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options. This position is for 1st shift. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): More than 3 years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment More than 3 years of experience leading or managing a team More than 3 years of experience in supply chain or materials management Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s degree or higher Experience in lean processes and initiatives Experience interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Experience with Material Requirements Planning, including the use of Compass Contract or a similar MRP system Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.) Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Travel: Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
