Requirements

  • BS or MS Degree in Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or equivalent
  • 2–3 years of experience in polymer materials within an industrial or automotive environment
  • Experience with material testing and validation (polymers, resins, paint and glue compatibility)
  • Hands-on profile: able to run and follow tests, not limited to laboratory activities
  • Good understanding of plastic materials, polymer formulation and material behavior
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong interest in industrial applications and automotive materials
  • 2–3 years of experience in polymers / plastic materials
  • Hands-on experience in material testing and validation
  • Knowledge of polymer formulation and testing methods
  • Ability to analyze material behavior and propose solutions
  • Good communication skills with suppliers and internal teams
  • Proactive mindset and strong personality
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to relocate

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 experience
  • Experience with resin supplier qualification or replacement
  • Exposure to production support or serial life issues
  • Knowledge of paint and glue compatibility issues
  • Experience in cost reduction or productivity projects
  • Experience in international or multicultural environments
  • Ability to grow into an expert role over time

Responsibilities

  • Support the material expert in the selection and qualification of raw materials for automotive projects
  • Run and follow material validation tests to meet customer requirements
  • Analyze material behavior and identify non-conformities or risks
  • Support the replacement and qualification of resin suppliers
  • Contribute to risk mitigation and validation plans
  • Propose technical solutions to resolve material, paint or glue-related issues
  • Interface with suppliers, purchasing teams and customers to support material qualification
  • Support production plants during serial life in case of raw material issues
  • Propose alternative raw material solutions to improve quality and/or reduce costs
  • Document test results, validation activities and technical recommendations
