Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern, Materials Engineer. In this role, you will work in an engineering materials laboratory developing test plans and performing testing and evaluation of data for investigating or determining acceptability of parts, materials and processes. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of material properties, test methods, and laboratory test equipment. Must be a US Citizen.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Material science, Mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
• Experience or coursework in a laboratory environment
• Coursework/knowledge of material properties and testing
• Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with ASTM, AMS, or MIL specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
