About The Position

As a Materials Engineering Intern at Beehive Industries, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to our materials engineering and manufacturing efforts. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong interest in materials science, manufacturing processes, and related technologies
  • Ability to interpret and analyze material properties and performance data
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or similar field
  • Must graduate December 2025 or later
  • Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with material testing methods and metallurgical analysis is a plus
  • Experience with microscopy or spectroscopy techniques is a plus
  • Hands-on lab experience in materials testing and preparation is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the characterization and testing of metal alloys and other materials used in our products
  • Support material property analysis, including tensile testing, fatigue testing, and metallographic evaluation
  • Contribute to the development of manufacturing maturation projects related to materials
  • Work with engineers to optimize material processing techniques
  • Document and analyze test results, contributing to material reports
  • Maintain inventory of materials and track usage in ongoing projects
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design teams to ensure material requirements align with engineering needs
  • Accurately record data and observations during all test work
  • Identify and report quality issues that impact testing or processes
