Job Summary Oversees all phases of material handling operations, within a fabrication manufacturing environment, including receiving, storage, tracking, and distribution, to ensure timely material availability, accurate inventory records, and efficient flow of materials. Maintains effective inventory control through routine cycle counts and physical inventories, supporting operational accuracy and business continuity.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with effective organizational and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift; forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including standard office applications, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable to the work area and job duties.
  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing, material handling, and ERP experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Label and identify all incoming parts and subcomponents upon receipt to ensure material traceability; print and apply labels as required.
  • Inspect incoming raw materials and follow established procedures for identifying and handling noncompliant materials.
  • Transport and deliver raw materials to designated work cells as needed to support production activities.
  • Accurately process fabrication inventory transactions within the ERP system in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform routine cycle counts within assigned production and fabrication areas to support inventory accuracy.
  • Load and unload material racks safely and efficiently.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other material handling equipment safely and in accordance with training and safety requirements.
  • Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials.
  • Respond to manufacturing and inventory-related questions from internal departments as requested.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of materials within all fabrication and inventory locations.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions, including the consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform additional tasks assigned.
