About The Position

Reworld Huntsville seeks a Material Compliance Specialist who under the direction of the Supplemental Waste Program Manager, will be responsible for the QA/QC inspection and special reporting of Non-Hazardous Profiled Waste and Regulated Waste deliveries into Reworld Huntsville. This position will be tipping floor lead.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in the waste industry or related field.
  • Customer Service related experience a plus.
  • Technical experience in materials management and or logistics.
  • Experience implementing and modifying SOP’s.
  • OSHA Training or related safety training.
  • Computer competency a must.
  • Second Site-Specific Mobile Equipment Trainer
  • Hs Diploma/GED is required.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry it a distance of 50 yards.
  • HAZWOPER training, RCRA boot camp or related training must be completed within one year of hire.
  • Must possess good mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have the ability to operate forklifts, front-end loaders, street sweeper, automated feed system, yard tractor and other equipment as needed.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be respirator fit tested and able to work wearing a respirator.

Nice To Haves

  • BS or BA in Environmental Science, Chemistry or Biology a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Primary duties include but are not limited to following and implementing the SOP for QA/QC and working with the facility personnel to ensure that waste received meets the approved profile.
  • Document all discrepancies and communicate with CES Material Compliance to resolve problems.
  • Facilitate a solution-oriented approach to discrepancy resolution and long term compliance.
  • Identify and catalog waste processing issues and develop strategic long term solutions with customer centric approach working closely with CES Material Compliance.
