About The Position

The Materials & Logistics Specialist partners with field operations to ensure the day-to-day success of material management programs, most notably the field Inventory Management System (IMS). This role requires a strong eye for detail and plays a crucial part in the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of our materials workflows. The Specialist serves as the primary point of contact and escalation for routine issues, supports field teams in optimal IMS utilization, and ensures that material data is accurate, actionable, and aligned with company standards. This role balances analytical rigor with a strong service-oriented mindset toward field partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in Supply Chain, Business, Residential Construction or Maintenance, or related field.
  • Experience working with inventory management or procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Coupa, Margin Point etc
  • 2- 5 years of basic inventory management
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with field and supplier stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate findings into operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct periodic audits of Fleet listings against IMS assignments to ensure data accuracy and proper technician alignment.
  • Perform weekly audits of past-due orders and communicate directly with suppliers and field technicians to drive timely resolution.
  • Complete bi-weekly audits of negative quantity-on-hand (QOH) items, researching root causes and performing corrective actions.
  • Serve as the first line of communication for all IMS inquiries, escalating issues as needed.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group training for new and existing technicians, managers, and other operational partners on IMS functionality relevant to their role.
  • Partner with field operations to ensure proper IMS usage, compliance, and adherence to material management best practices.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to troubleshoot order issues, navigating between the IMS and supplier platforms to drive timely solutions.
  • Compile and analyze corporate credit cards (CC) spend data to identify trends, non-compliant purchases, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Utilize Excel (including functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and large data set manipulation) to extract meaningful insights and provide actionable recommendations to operations leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, material flow, supplier engagement, and compliance.
