About The Position

The Material Specialist will be responsible for accurately accounting for material by unloading material, verify and log, stock/pick and transport material utilizing a forklift throughout the facility to the appropriate locations as required in a timely manner without compromising safety and quality. Requirements

High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage yard
Ability to be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
Ability to be certified and operate a forklift, 4500 pounds and over
Basic computer skills
Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

Previous Material Handling experience
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English language
Advanced computer skills (Oracle, MS Excel, Shipping Tools or another warehouse management system)
Be able to read engineering drawings, Illustrated Parts Books, and Service and Product Bulletins
Capability to actively work on multiple tasks at the same time
Strong verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
Certified in crane and rigging operations
Minimum one year experience with barcode scanners
Experience with lean action work-outs

Responsibilities

Maintain received WIP inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock and recording location of inventory.
Utilize technical expertise and engine knowledge to accumulate and process parts to ensure configuration accuracy and engine on time delivery
Ability to interpret Receiving & Shipping Documents, Repair Tags, Services Bulletins, etc.
Support AM Mod X and AM OH Modules
Un-package parts to ensure they are not damaged in transit utilizing power tools
Support material activities and problem solving through advanced usage of Oracle, and warehouse management systems
Communicate status of pending parts with the Material Coordinators
Work diligently to alert the broader team to any material shortages that have the potential to delay any job for customers
Communicate with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates of scheduled work
Ability to interpret Illustrated Parts Breakdown, Smart Shop, and Service Bulletins.
Coordinate and track parts credit returns and reallocations
Collect data, run reports, track, and communicate status daily.
Perform material-handling equipment pre-use inspections for safe operation and delivery.
Support regular cycle counting activities including root cause analysis of issues
Great attention to detail while working to a deadline.
Self-starter, positive attitude, work well with others, and strive to implement continuous improvement projects.
The ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining an individual workload.
The ability to perform job duties with a sense of urgency and focused on safety and quality.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills in English.
Train new employees as required.

Ability to prioritize responsibilities and requests
Perform other related duties as assigned.
