About The Position

Transporting material between stations, unloading truckloads of raw material, or packaging & preparing loads for delivery, you will be a part of supporting the movement of material throughout the production process. This role will require you to spend time working both inside & outside, you will be in motion for the entire day. You will need the ability to balance multiple tasks, find creative solutions to changing & challenging demands. Being a team player will bring you success & growth in our company.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 to 5 years experience in a related field is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Unloading of various material types and reviewing materials to ensure accurate receipt
  • Sorting and staging raw material in the yard and inventory rack system
  • Identification of materials using both manual and digital systems, including fabrication management software and barcoding
  • Movement of raw materials into the facility, movement of in-process elements from station to station, and movement of finished materials out of the building to stage for delivery
  • Use barcoding system to identify material locations and movement of both raw material and finished products
  • Collaborate with others about the efficient use of storage space and effective means for material placement
  • Operate a forklift to handle loads of all shapes and sizes, from pallets of material to stock in excess of sixty feet in length.
  • Maintain forklifts to ensure that safe operating conditions exist, and coordinate with service personnel for necessary maintenance and repair
  • Coordinate with Logistics Manager and Production Manager to ensure flow of material supports work in progress
  • Communicate with inbound and outbound carriers to ensure that loads are safe for transportation and effective off loading
  • Other production related duties as directed by the Production Manager
