Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Materials & Processes (M&P) Engineer. In this role, you may work on our Generalist team in the areas of metallic, non-metallic, and hazardous materials; assist with coordinating engineering activities with other functional teams in order to meet program requirements; support the release of material and process specifications, review of engineering drawings, and approval of suppliers, processors, and products; and provide direct M&P support to assembly and fabrication operations. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a lab or production environment and work in a collaborative and team-based environment. The successful candidate will also be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Composites Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Metallurgical Engineering
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Exposure to Materials Science
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
