Reporting to the VP of Program Management, the Material Program Manager is responsible for aligning program demand with supply execution across internal manufacturing within the Components and Modules division and external subcontractors. This role ensures material availability supports program schedules, drives cross-functional coordination between Programs, Supply Chain, and Planning, and proactively manages risks to prevent shortages, delays, and cost impacts across the program portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, or program management in a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of ERP and MRP systems and material planning processes.
  • Experience coordinating across internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive resolution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage integrated material plans aligned to program schedules and production demand.
  • Coordinate closely with internal planning, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure material readiness.
  • Interface with external subcontractors and suppliers to track performance, delivery commitments, and risks.
  • Monitor and report material status, shortages, and supply risks across programs.
  • Drive resolution of material constraints through prioritization, escalation, and recovery planning.
  • Align program demand signals with SIOP processes and ERP/MRP system outputs.
  • Support development of long-lead procurement strategies and risk mitigation plans.
  • Ensure material plans are consistent with program baselines and updated as schedules evolve.
  • Participate in program reviews, providing clear visibility into material readiness and risks.
  • Track key metrics including on-time material availability, supplier performance, and shortage impacts. cost/schedule deltas.
