Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) team is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) who will serve as the liaison between Supply Chain and program IPT(s). The MPM is responsible for creating, managing, and executing material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP) to ensure program competitiveness and performance from the front end of the business through contract closure. The MPM may work onsite in our El Segundo, CA location or Goleta, CA. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a program/project management role, finance and/or supplier management position.
  • Typically requires a university degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within an automated Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
  • Experience working with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Experience working with FAR/DFAR Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supply chain support for Gates activities and ensure IPDP compliance with the programs and tailoring when applicable.
  • Provide overall ownership of the supplier management process (i.e., Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan, supplier performance, metrics, international issues.
  • Serve as the leader on assigned program supply chain activities, advise the Supply Chain Management team and the Program Management Office leadership team on material strategies and plans.
  • Support other Material Program Managers.
  • Develop and support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win (PTW) targets.
  • Act as the Control Account Manager (CAM).
  • Identify and secure supply chain resources to support the capture plan.
  • Develop and execute material program plans (MPP).
  • Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programs.
  • Execute make/buy/where process.
  • Work with production control, operations, procurement, and supplier engineering to ensure purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier deliveries meet program demand.
  • Obtain MPM certification after experience in the role.
  • Provide monthly forecasting/reporting and measuring of the ETC/VAC to AOP.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks and support weekly supplier meetings.
