Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support a special program within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit. The MPM is accountable for ensuring overall program execution of materials management including cost/schedule/quality, and management of supplier performance. This MPM role will report directly to the Program MPM Leads, with accountability to the Program Management Office. This role requires you be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program goals, and must be able to successfully interface with varying levels of internal management. The MPM is also responsible for executing supply chain strategies and plans. The MPM serves as the leader for all program’s supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. This position requires an individual who can exert influence on the overall goals of the program and the program IPT team. The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, and negotiating experience and have had project management responsibilities including, but not limited to Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a supply chain role.

  • Experience working with suppliers.
  • Experience supporting developmental engineering programs.
  • Project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategy, including RFPs, Risk and Opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.
  • Ownership of Material Forecast and identification of risks and opportunities.
  • Manage material budgets and support EACs.
  • Drive Purchase Requisition generation and Purchase Order placement/management.
  • Participate in supplier engagements and review to ensure supplier performance.
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.
  • Implement key performance indicators internally and with our supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and adherence to the plan.
  • Obtain a special program clearance within 90 days of employment.
