The Advanced Effectors & Space team is seeking Material Program Managers (MPM) with demonstrated project management skills who will be closely accountable for ensuring supplier performance. You must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program goals, and must be able to successfully interface with varying levels of internal management. You will be responsible for executing supply chain strategies and plans. The MPM serves as the leader for all program’s supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. This position requires an individual who will be able to exert impact and influence the overall goals of the program and the program IPT team. The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, negotiating and project management responsibilities including, but not limited to Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams. This position will be onsite in Tucson, AZ. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR is required
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industry
  • Ability to balance reasonable thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Working experience as a Cost Account Manager
  • Experience with proposal efforts
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement, Six Sigma or Lean methodologies/principals

Responsibilities

  • Implements the material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP).
  • Provides comprehensive Supply Chain support for RLPM activities and ensures IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable.
  • Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, Supply Chain metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
  • Develop, lead, and implement common schedule creation, supply chain proposal activities, and risk/opportunity plans to meet program goals.
  • Member of program office that participates in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, program Change Control Board (CCB), Risk & Opportunity Review Board (RORB), and Engineering Review Board (ERB).
  • Act as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for material and SCM labor, monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial tasks/metrics related to material including developing and tracking budgets, targets, working capital, initiating & maintaining accurate sales forecasts, short-range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating Plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP) related to cost, schedule and quality.
