Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) in support of the Naval Air Missile (NAM) Product Line for a multi-phased program onsite in Tucson, Arizona. This role requires prior experience and applied knowledge in subcontract systems, material requirements planning (MRP) process, project management, subcontract management, developing mitigation strategies, communication with our executive level team, proposal activities, and internal research and development (IRAD). This role also requires broad knowledge of financial, project, and material management acumen. In this role, the candidate will apply existing knowledge of Supply Chain, material requirement planning, and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will develop and lead a material program strategy/plan for programs or integrated product team. Additionally, you will participate in proposals by developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates and participating in gate review preparation and/or support activities and assists with the generation of the Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW). The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with stakeholders external to the organization.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience
  • Experience in supply chain and related systems, program management, procurement, MRP, cost estimating, and/or finance
  • Experience with supplier management and/or subcontract management
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using supply chain planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
  • Able to coordinate strategies and manage tactical execution
  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Overall supply chain ownership of a multi-phased program
  • Responsibility for timely and compliant submission of quarterly EACs
  • Ownership of performance across both domestic and international supply bases to include performance, quality, affordability, and delivery
  • Develop and execute strategies to perform and meet the Program’s needs and requirements
  • Lead a small team and drive favorable performance across the MPM team
  • Lead robust and challenging negotiations across the supplier base to meet the Program objectives
  • Lead by influence in a matrixed organization
  • Have frequent engagement with PMO and our Naval Power Customer through execution of the contract
  • Provide accurate forecasting and realization of sales and additional financial metrics
  • Create, manage, and execute MPS (Material Program Strategy and the MPP (Material Program Plan) to enable successful execution of program competitiveness and performance, from the front end of the business through contract closure
  • Provide comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensures IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable. Key activities typically include financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, material sales forecasts, etc.)
  • Monitor and proactively address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
  • Collaborate with other programs to maximize efficiency of program execution including commonality.
  • Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
