Raytheon is seeking an experienced professional with a strong and proven successful background in Supply Chain and Program Management to fill a critical Material Program Manager (MPM) role supporting Portfolio T programs within the AFS suite of programs. Candidates must be able to succeed in high stress, fast paced development environment and possess excellent time management/prioritization skills. Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work well in a matrixed IPT environment are also important. Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal and supplier management. The Material Program Manager will report directly to the Portfolio T Supply Chain Management Lead. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of supply chain strategies, material program and supplier management plans, supporting capture/proposal and design-to-cost initiatives throughout all phases of the product life cycle. You will be accountable to ensure suppliers are supporting Program needs, risks are mitigated, and efficiencies identified. You will be the catalyst for program execution of the Supply Chain Strategy and activities including ensuring an appropriate budget, adequate resources, managing schedule, and compliance to requirements.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience with SAP and/or related material planning tool/s
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Supply Chain role and/or program/project management position
  • Experience interacting with suppliers in a program/project management role

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
  • Experience with Design to Cost and Cost Reduction Initiative activities
  • Experience with developing and analyzing performance metrics
  • Experience with Proposal and New Business Capture

Responsibilities

  • Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead as well as the Program Management Office on material strategies, plans and supplier risk mitigation activities
  • Responsible for supporting the development, coordination and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives
  • Early supplier involvement that is focused on strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win (PTW) targets
  • Support the development and execution of material program plans (MPP)
  • Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programs
  • Support the development and execution of risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
  • Partner cross functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
  • Exert influence to achieve overall objectives and long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team
  • Frequently lead discussions and presentations to all levels of management and senior leadership
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
  • Domestic travel
