About The Position

Under the supervision of the Customer Service Manager, the Material Planner works with production to determine the resources needed to meet the production schedule. The Material Planner will requisition and purchase these resources as well as monitor scheduled deliveries from vendors. If required, the Planner will expedite materials from vendors when there are delays in delivery. The Material Planner continually works to improve delivery times, cost and the quality of materials from vendors. Other tasks and/or assignments as defined by the Customer Service Manager.

  • Recognizing order requirements: Check new order entry / Update material planning report
  • Check inventory / open orders
  • Create Purchase Orders
  • Substitute / add film cards when applicable
  • Open Order Confirmation
  • Check new order entry/ Update material planning report
  • PO adjustment
  • Work Order adjustments
  • Receiving materials
  • Check Packing list and ASN and ASN errors from vendors
  • Check entry
  • Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
  • Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
  • Reviews shipments for quality accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.

  • Monthly Inventory Adjustments for NC
  • Raw Film Inventory
  • Perform physical inventory on raw film weekly to verify inventories
  • Conduct the end of the month physical inventory of raw film
  • Visual Responsibilities
  • Add film parts
  • Obsolete film parts
  • Remove film from the rejection warehouse when the rejection has been approved by the vendor
  • End Work Orders when production is complete
