About The Position

Objective of the Position: Assist Management to ensure OEE and Labor Standards are met, safely and within budget continually improving customer confidence to drive profitability. Manage the Supply base to ensure production schedules are met, inventories levels are maintained, and high Supplier performance is achieved.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Material Planning or closely related field.
Minimum two years’ experience in the automotive industry
Minimum three years’ experience in planning and scheduling.
Must have extensive planning experience with ERP systems to include: Shipping receiving transactions, Item master transactions, Purchase documents transactions, Planning table, MRP calculations, Capacity information, Routing and BOM transactions and Master Scheduling. SAP experience is a plus.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.
Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.

APICS (CPIM) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage inventory to the lowest level without negatively impacting production.
Manage customer demand and ensure the integrity of the supplier releases.
Review the SAP tools to ensure on-time delivery from suppliers and to customers.
Maintain a consistent flow of materials to support the production schedule.
Maintain planning parameters in SAP system to ensure release integrity.
Monitor revision levels and ensure coordinated and running changes are managed properly to avoid obsolescence.
Manage engineering changes by effectively communicating the date of the change to the manufacturing cell. Ensure proper timing of the engineering change to avert obsolescence.
Manage the premium freight and chargeback system.
Manage the supplier rating system.
Review daily system generated reports for maintaining inventory accuracy and take corrective action.
Lead representative for all APQP meetings to ensure single point communications to plant functional groups.
Support and promote full SAP and Customer system utilization.
Ensure plant teams, staff and associates are accurately trained to expectations outlined in the change process.
Process owner for all document and data coordination and controls, ensuring compliance with TS 16949 requirements.
Ensure BOM accuracy.
Coordinate activities in support of flawless product launch.
Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
