About The Position

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) specializes in the development and commercialization of sustainable sourcing solutions for critical battery materials, focusing on lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies. Our mission is to support the growing needs of electric vehicles, grid storage applications, and consumer electronics by providing innovative and environmentally responsible battery materials. As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the procurement and inventory of materials across our manufacturing and recycling operations. Your role will involve collaborating with suppliers, production teams, and logistics to optimize material availability, minimize delays, and support manufacturing efficiency. This position offers a dynamic environment for individuals passionate about supply chain management and sustainability to make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain material planning schedules to support production requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages, and initiate procurement or production actions to avoid stockouts.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Review bill of materials (BOMs) and production plans to determine material requirements.
  • Track lead times and adjust plans to accommodate changes in demand or supply delays.
  • Conduct inventory audits and maintain accurate records in ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Analyze supply chain data to optimize inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and improve service levels.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in material planning, forecasting, and production processes.
  • Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and logistics teams to address material-related issues.
