Title: Material Handler – Finished Goods Dept: Warehouse Reports to: Material Movement Team Lead FLSA: Non-exempt Job Family: Material Handler Title: Material Handler III Position Description Position Summary: Performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage or distribution of product. Load, unload, move or store product according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions. Perform partial pallet distribution as needed. Use gas or electric powered forklift to move product in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • The position requires organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.
  • Mental activities require the continuous use of decision-making skills, the need to read, write, speak and understand the English language, teamwork and independent judgment.
  • The position requires the frequent use of interpersonal skills.
  • The position requires the ability to push up to 500 pounds (with pallet jack), pull up to 500 pounds (with pallet jack) and lift and/or carry up to 35 pounds frequently.
  • The position requires a high school degree or equivalent.
  • Must have ability to become certified as a forklift operator.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months+ of experience in a finished goods warehouse is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive/ship product from multiple locations using proper warehouse procedures.
  • Perform partial pallet distribution as needed.
  • Operate gas or electric powered forklift to move product in a safe manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
  • Correctly load LTL, FTL, and rail shipments using air bags and spacers to arrive damage free.
  • Perform cycle counts to meet weekly KPI requirements.
  • Ensure food safety and quality protocols are followed.
  • Responsible for providing coverage in the absence of other Warehouse Support
