About The Position

Job Purpose: Manually moves component materials, supplies, and finished products between inventory and production, and between inventory, receiving and shipping. Pulls orders accurately in preparation for prompt shipment and verifies and enters receipt of incoming shipments.

  • Adequate manual dexterity to handle extremely small parts.

Responsibilities

  • Count, label and verify quantities of incoming materials.
  • Receiving
  • Pull Sales Order items
  • Pull and package component required on a pick list for manufacturing
  • Take kits/parts to the production floor, check for any special requirement on a Job, Sales Order or Pick List.
  • Do transaction in the ERP system
  • Pull/Issue material for part requisitions/replenishment, check queue throughout the day
  • Work on “return to stock” product and getting stock put in correct locations.
  • Performs actual inventory counts and daily cycle counts
  • Identifying and reporting inventory discrepancies
  • Assisting in auditing job kits and/or items leaving the stockroom
  • Back-up and assist shipping clerk
  • Inform Manager of any significant problems
  • Perform other work related tasks as assigned
  • Compliance and participation in all Smiths Interconnect HSE&S programs, policies, procedures and training requirements
  • Maintain work schedules that will meet customer requirements.
  • Adapt to daily changes in production and meet shipping schedules.
  • Flow of work and character of duties involve normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination.
  • Communication with Supervisor with issues that will impact inventory, production or shipping.
  • SIKC Location as well as other Smiths Interconnect stakeholders
