About The Position

As a Material Handler with BW Converting, you will be responsible for receiving, unloading, and processing inbound shipments while ensuring materials are accurately logged and moved to their proper location within the facility. You will manage inventory through the full cycle, from picking parts for active projects to preparing and loading outbound shipments, including movement of materials across multiple facilities. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
6+ months of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
Forklift Certification a plus
Must be 18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment

Responsibilities

Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, comparing items and quantities against freight bills and noting any damage
Scan and log receipts into the ERP system to ensure accurate record keeping of all items received and shipped
Move materials from the point of receipt to their next designated location within the facility and across multiple facilities
Pick inventory for active projects based on shop orders, material requisitions, and work instructions
Prepare, label, pack, and load items for outbound shipment according to specifications
Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Perform cycle counts and use scanning equipment to maintain inventory accuracy
Assist team members with inventory questions and provide input during team meetings on quality or production issues
Handle and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste responsibly in accordance with company policy and local, state, and federal requirements
Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition at all times
