Taylor Corporation is looking for a Material Handler I to join our warehouse and distribution team. This role supports the daily flow of materials throughout the facility, ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are handled accurately and efficiently. Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and use a computer operating system to track inventory
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to perform a variety of job assignments
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability and willingness to perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Prior warehouse or receiving experience
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Frequently required to move throughout the facility
  • Regularly required to operate material handling equipment and handle products
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25+ pounds

Responsibilities

  • Unload and stage incoming shipments using various material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Prepare and break down inbound shipments for accuracy validation
  • Put away product into correct locations using MHE equipment
  • Pull orders accurately using paper or electronic order systems
  • Operate forklift and related material moving equipment to designated areas
  • Perform general warehouse housekeeping including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash
  • Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and performing job duties
