Our strong, diversified presence enables us to offer consumers and clients perfectly suited solutions, for any occasion and time of day. #LI-KH1 JOB OVERVIEW At Lavazza, the Material Handler I is responsible for all physical and system material movements which support the warehouse activities and factory execution. These activities include, but are not limited to, FIFO inventory movements, unloading and storing inbound materials, physical and system warehouse inventory management, pallet processing, staging for factory production and outbound goods loading. All activities support annual targets in line with business production budget targets, quality targets and safety targets. Material Handler I’s will be accountable for the accuracy of material financial system integrity. Material Handlers are expected to understand the ways of working for both factory and warehousing activities. Location: West Chester, PA

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED
  • 0-3 years related work experience
  • All candidates will be required to successfully complete forklift certification
  • Knowledge of SAP material management commands is essential
  • Must be flexible to all shifts
  • Mandatory overtime may occasionally be required to ensure delivery of customer satisfaction, facilitate changeover or meet product demand
  • Ability to multi-task and work within a team environment
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

  • Unload, inspect and document daily inbound raw material shipments from domestic and international suppliers.
  • Understand the ways of working for both factory and warehousing activities.
  • Physically move all received inventory with respect to FIFO into Stores under the transactional advisement of a shipper/receiver.
  • Rotate materials for storage and picking with regard to FIFO.
  • Inspect, verify, and load outbound finished goods shipments accurately and safely.
  • Monitor and consolidate materials in storage to efficiently maintain organization of warehouse space.
  • Register Finished Goods pallets into SAP via Cockpit MES.
  • Assist in staging the factory with raw materials for both active and upcoming production.
  • Actively follow and practice GMP protocols.
  • Work with the Quality Department to close any audit findings in a timely manner.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required
