MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: This includes the responsibilities and duties of the job and should cover all performance areas. Guidelines: Production Must follow and enforce Silgan Safety, Quality and GMP policies. Taking care of all products from Scat Systems (SBM, IBM, and Deco Departments). Transferring rework items to the line, for inspector packers to sort through and to be repacked. Making sure that the end of Scat systems are out enough for fire doors to close and touch the floor. Transfer partial skids back to floor to be completed on orders that were stopped before they were completed. Do a product reversal on partial skids to add the remaining amount needed for full skid. Transfer product to grind if unable to be reworked and verify all NCR paperwork. Be able to print out carton and unit labels if needed. Check and verify four-hour production reports and sign. Verify when orders complete in Oracle to verify that there are no remaining quantities on line. Relieve packers for breaks when needed. Knowledge of NCR procedures . 2. Safety Responsible for enforcing safety policies and reporting safety violations. Know and apply written safety procedures Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts or situations. Reporting, investigating accidents & near misses. Enforce safety rules. Maintain clean work areas and additional manufacturing equipment as necessary. Cycle Counting Cycle count sheets are placed on a desk in Office by the Warehouse Coordinator. The contents of these sheets could be any of the following: Supplies on the production floor, Gaylord’s in regrind or resin rows, finished product rows, Wip bottle rows, supplies that are located in racks from M,N,P,Q,S,T, Box aisle rows. Sheets are equally distributed to all warehouse personnel. Finished or WIP products needed to be counted as number of skids, number of cartons, number of pieces per carton and the total amount of product for the FWO number in that location. All inventory items are counted either by each or pounds and lot controlled if designated. Miscellaneous Clearing cobwebs from the ceiling in warehouse with either Genie Boom, or Scissor lift. Wrapping shrink wrap around reused regrind, hopper drains, or partial virgin material Gaylord’s. Keeping the quarantine rows clear for any product rework to be placed. Watching for any safety hazards that may occur in the pathway of Tow Motor Traffic. End of shift print out new Spot Sheet for next shift (sheet of locations of production orders). Sign a walk around sheet to verify to next shift that the warehouse is in order. Forklift certification is required. 5. Other duties as assigned The job description above covers the most significant reoccurring duties for this position but does not preclude other project special assignments.
