About The Position

Temp Staff-Up is seeking 1st Shift Material Handlers for a busy Distribution company in Austin, TX 78758 This facility will perform a warehouse move in March 2026 Hours: Monday through Friday (flexible on weekends when needed OVERTIME) 1st Shift - 10:30AM to 7PM Pay Rate: $18.00 hourly MUST be able to pass a background and Drug Screen!! !!!TEMP TO HIRE OPPORTUNITIES!!! This position performs a variety of moderate physical and administrative tasks that are involved with the distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Key Responsibilities : Unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records of received goods. Rejecting unsatisfactory, damaged, or defected items. Lifting or moving heavy items Operating equipment to move or expedite material to proper department or storage location. Store material in their designated locations after been received in the system. Examining stocks and distributing materials and supplies in inventory to manufacturing lines. Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity, research inventory discrepancies. Preparing goods for final shipment and maintaining records of shipped merchandise. Embrace safety culture. Participate in audits and 5S program. Moderate knowledge in continuous improvement activities. Inform supervisor or lead of work-related problems. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • MUST be able to pass a background and Drug Screen!!
  • Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Order Picking - Required
  • Material handling: 1 year (Required)
  • Data entry and computer knowledge (Outlook, excel, word, power point, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Assembly: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Inventory Knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Quality control: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Shipping Software Experience
