About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Material Handler is responsible for picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. This role operates standard warehouse equipment to ensure efficient material handling and timely order fulfillment. This position is ideal for someone who values safety, attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Skills: Basic math skills for accurate order processing; ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams; problem-solving ability; high attention to detail.
Physical Abilities Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
Work environment includes a loud manufacturing or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.
Pick, pack, and stage orders, verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, reporting any damages.
Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.
Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.
Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.
