About The Position

Material Handler - Finishing Department - 3rd Shift The Apex Mills Family of Companies - Keeping Textile Jobs in America since 1943 As our Material Handler, you will remove rolls of greige fabric from the knitting machines, remove and replace sets of nylon and lycra from machines, and generally support shift coordinators. More specifically, you will: Pull Lots Handle Beams Wrap Lots And generally help out where needed. While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to stand, walk, and must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and be able to move an A-Frame of fabric weighing as much as 1000 pounds (or more.) You are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles, and occasionally exposed to extreme heat.
