Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Material Handler to join their Team in the Cantonment, FL area. This position is responsible for the physical receipt, storage, and distribution of production materials. The role also involves conducting physical inventories, resolving count discrepancies, managing non-conforming materials, and interfacing with purchasing and production departments regarding material issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year's experience in Materials or Operations supplemented with OJT
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills
- Sound basic math skills
- Ability to perform job duties with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to perform job duties with limited direct supervision
- Possess working knowledge of standard material receiving and internal distribution practices
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
- Subject to random DOT drug screening

Responsibilities
- Assist with terminal / distribution operations by performing loading and unloading activities
- Monitor products transferred to and from tanks, vessels, or pipelines at terminal site
- Assist with terminal maintenance duties as needed maintaining equipment in operating condition
- Catch samples as per Standard Operating Procedure
- Input information into electronic hand-held device which documents Standard Operating Procedure
- Load trucks, railcars and unload raw materials from outside suppliers and intra-plant Units
- Track mobile movement & spot railcars and tanker trailers
- Assist customers and/or producers with any problems that may arise
- Special assignment duties and call out as required
- Responsible for the physical receipt, storage, and distribution of production materials
- Involvement in conducting physical inventories and count discrepancy resolution
- Management of non-conforming materials
- Interface with purchasing and production departments regarding material issues
