The forklift operator will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve supplies and materials.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Must pass Turner Qualification written and practical exams
  • Able to strap load to forks via ratchet strap or similar device
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Adherence to job site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
  • Use of safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in specified skill
  • NCCER certification (as some job sites may require further certification)

Responsibilities

  • Operating forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve supplies and materials
  • Moving hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, or gasoline operating equipment
  • Interpreting hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed
  • Reading and interpreting load charts
  • Manipulating equipment on unleveled working surfaces (as required)
  • Performing maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment (as required)
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area
