Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members and external vendors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
  • Possess or be able to obtain Powered Industrial Truck Certification
  • May be required to obtain Hazmat Training if not already completed
  • Moderate computer skills required.
  • Previous experience with a forklift

Nice To Haves

  • CRC (Career Readiness Certification) at the Silver level, preferred
  • A high level of detail orientation and organizational skills to improve work area space

Responsibilities

  • Pick raw materials and production supplies from warehouse either by hand, forklift or other means and deliver to the designated area
  • By schedule or upon request, pick up materials or empty containers from production areas and transport to the warehouse or other department
  • Using the Enterprise Resource Planning software (GME) to access and update inventory locations if necessary, along with utilize multiple other software systems to execute daily and weekly tasks
  • Receives IPSO (Inter-Plant Shipping Orders) and prepares them for shipment
  • Secure trailer while loading by blocking and locking out
  • Load raw materials and production supplies into trailers and box trucks
  • Pre-Op the forklift and change out batteries (if required)
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
  • Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
