About The Position

Overall Summary: The Material Handler efficiently delivers materials and supplies using pallet jacks, high lifts, and power jacks. Primar y Duties/ Responsibilities: Utiliz e automated i nventory system to locate materials and supplies . Document material transactions in the system ; complete the material handling section of paperwork for warehouse return s M ove processed material from workstations to the appropriate staging area . E nsure the accu rate repackaging of leftover materials . Maintain a clean and safe work area ; report any safety hazards immediately . Perform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned .

Requirements

• Ability to read and write English
• Understand oral and written communications and follow directions
• Ability to safely operate power equipment
• Good mathematical skills
• Team oriented
• Detail orientated
• High School Diploma/GED preferred, or commensurate experience relating to the job
• Computer and scanner experience
• Ability to work 8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Ability to lift, carry and push/pull up to 35 pounds; occasionally up to 65 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, pivot, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for up to 8 hours
• Upper extremity motion requirements: fine motor movements, pushing/pulling with arms, grasping and pinching
• Lower extremity motion requirements: reaching

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience using floor jacks, pallet jacks, high lifts, and/or power jacks preferred
• Previous participation on a safety team and/or other safety training a plus

Responsibilities
