About The Position

Summary: The Material Handler I is the Material Handler position and is responsible for mastering and performing all functions within the Materials Department which include, stocking, picking, shipping, receiving, and all other duties as assigned by management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receiving Functions - Use a fork lift truck or manual truck to unload delivered materials. Check incoming items against purchase or production orders; complete receiver; use print file for identification, if necessary. Print and affix barcode labels on all incoming IP material. Stage material neatly and orderly within the receiving lanes. Identify any discrepancies or obvious damage on incoming material and immediately alert the Senior Material Department Lead. Immediately notify the purchasing department regarding any discrepancies on received purchase order items. Immediately notify the Senior Materials Lead and the appropriate remote DwyerOmega facility regarding discrepancies on received interplant orders. Assist with the overall coordination of the TNC process. Distribute MRO receipts to the designated employee or communicate the receipt via company email. Shipping Functions - Receive Finished Goods to satisfy Manufacturing or Sales Orders from P01, Engineering Lab, or any other company location or individual. Pack the items for direct shipment to customer or for transfer to the P00 warehouse and generate all documentation related to shipping or transfer transactions. Prepare packaged material for shipment and load onto applicable carriers as required. Provide tracking information as requested. Prepare shipping documents and apply labels as required to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and requirements of the specific carrier being used. Field all requests for shipment and/or tracking information from both internal and external sources and promptly respond via e-mail, verbally, or any other form of communication Assist with the overall coordination of the TNC process. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Computer Literacy
  • Must demonstrate organizational skills.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Requires knowledge of weights and measurements.
  • Maintain a valid state-issued Driver's License and be bondable.
  • Complete fork truck training and maintain certification by passing annual driving tests and be able to safely operate the lift truck.
  • Be proficient in the use of measurement tools and pallet wrappers.
  • Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to frequently and safely climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to use tablets and handheld scanners.
  • Ability to accurately count and sort.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
