The primary responsibility of this entry-level role is to support warehouse operations by receiving materials, putting them away in the correct locations, and picking items as needed. This position helps keep materials moving smoothly between the warehouse and production areas to ensure workstations remain stocked and production can continue without interruption.

Requirements

  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written job instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for logging transactions on a tablet or PC.
  • Ability to safely operate common material‑handling equipment (training provided if needed).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three to six months of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain certification to operate material‑handling equipment (such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or tuggers).

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials, unload trucks, and open containers.
  • Verify, label, and log incoming and outgoing goods using basic computer or tablet tools.
  • Stock shelves and put materials away in assigned locations.
  • Pick materials for orders, work orders, or production requests.
  • Move materials throughout the facility using approved material‑handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, tuggers) or by hand.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures for material rotation.
  • Assist with inventory counts and report material shortages when needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas in line with 5S and Lean practices.
  • Safely lift items up to 30 lbs.
  • Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned.
