Hartzell Aerospace Welding seeks a Material Handler who will be responsible for collaborating with the Supply Chain Department to receive, store, and distribute materials, equipment, and products within the business. Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum 6 months of related experience in Parts Manufacturing or Warehouse Operations.
  • Minimum 6 months of using ERP (business software) similar to Epicor or Global Shop for inventory transactions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to complete duties with standardized situations with occasional variables.
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift Experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Receives In materials and items for put away to storage or other designated Bin locations.
  • Marks materials with identifying information
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to ERP systems
  • Issues raw materials (Tube, Sheet, Bar) to work orders and jobs for production.
  • Enters and maintains inventory records in the computer.
  • Cleans warehouse area and other duties as required and assigned.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Prepares parcels for mailing.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
