About The Position

Responsible for the movement of raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout the facility using forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. May perform other general warehouse functions in support of operational requirements. This position has been identified as "safety sensitive" by thyssenkrupp under applicable laws in the state of Washington. Accordingly, any application for this position that is considered for employment with thyssenkrupp requires successful completion of pre-employment drug testing, which may include testing for marijuana in accordance with any applicable federal state, and local laws, including but not limited to any such laws in the state of Washington.

Requirements

  • This is a Safety Sensitive role, the company is dedicated to the safety of all employees, and we are looking for candidates that are safety oriented to join our team.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English and perform basic math problems
  • High school diploma/GED
  • History of consistent dependable attendance
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions

Nice To Haves

  • Use of hand held measuring tools
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
  • LEAN and/or Quality Control experience
  • 5 years of warehousing experience – especially in metals industry
  • Shipping experience
  • Previous forklift experience

Responsibilities

  • Accurately remove and stock product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan
  • Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly
  • Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded
  • Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on the Kaltenbach saw
  • Cycle Counts
  • Identify, hold and segregate defective material
  • Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
  • Perform general clean up
  • Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel
  • Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, quality, ISO and 6S Initiatives, compliance and Lean initiatives, requirements, and/or training
  • Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead
  • Train others when required

  • Holiday Pay: For a 5-day 8-hour shift you will receive up to 88 hours of holiday pay, for a 4-day 10-hour shift, you will receive up to 80 hours of holiday pay, and for a 3-day 12-hour shift you will receive up to 72 hours of holiday pay depending on the date of hire and the holiday schedule posted as it changes yearly.
