About The Position

With continual growth comes opportunity and Sargent has an immediate opening for a Material Handler I. Position Summary: The person in this role will support the warehouse/stockroom and be responsible for inventory records including counting, storing, records comparison, and rotating stock in the warehouse or stockroom daily.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Less than 2 years general knowledge of warehouse/stockroom environment.
Must have basic math skills, read pick lists, data printouts, bills of material and other documents.
Accuracy of data entry, accounts and record keeping is essential.
General knowledge of warehouse/stockroom procedures.
Must be computer literate.
Must be detail-oriented with good mathematical abilities.
Must be able to bend and lift 40 lbs.
Must have ability to work as a team member to achieve the company’s quality and production standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work with production employees and managers.
Strong organization skills, self-starter with initiative and ability to work with minimal
Must be flexible with overtime and weekends, as necessary.
Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position .
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

Intermediate a plus
Previous Warehouse Experience in a Military , Commercial or Medical environment .
Operate Manual and Electric Power Pallet Power tool knowledge (Rotating saw, hand saw, hammer, drills) .
