Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least one month of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk on a concrete floor through a warehouse for much of the workday. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and lift to 50 pounds. The individual is occasionally required to talk or hear and lift up to 70 pounds. Special vision requirements are distance vision, peripheral vision, and color vision.

Responsibilities

Operates basic power equipment (electric pallet jack, walkie rider, sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift) in a safe and efficient manner to pick and process store orders daily.
Fills store orders by picking orders according to section number, packing items into cartons, and stacking them in a manner that minimizes shipping damage, entering items into the scan gun, and completing necessary paperwork.
Documents the shipment of hazardous materials by labeling cartons correctly and completing necessary paperwork.
Prepares orders for shipment by preparing trucks for shipments; palletizing and wrapping orders; loading pallets and pieces into trucks; placing packing list in last skid; and completing necessary paperwork.
Maintains current department accuracy and efficiency standards and follows department standard operating procedures.
Maintains a safe work environment by working safely, following current Distribution safety rules, and maintaining a clean work area by breaking down cardboard, picking up loose trash or boards, and keeping carts clean.
Completing any additional tasks or duties designated by the Distribution Center Supervisor.
