About The Position

The Material Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily production control operations to ensure uninterrupted plant throughput. This role involves supporting key vehicle programs and requires strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination across multiple internal and external partners. The position is highly interactive, working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in data entry and supply chain management.
  • Experience in inventory management and control.
  • Ability to perform cycle counts and manage material handling.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Outgoing and confident communicator who thrives in team-based environments.
  • Comfortable with direct phone communication and occasional in-person supplier or facility interactions.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and resolve material flow issues.
  • Able to work cross-functionally and escalate issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily activities related to Parts Follow-Up, Plant Scheduling, Engineering Change Management, Inventory Records, and Shipping/Receiving.
  • Manage productive material inventory, including float analysis, cycle count compliance, record integrity, and reconciliation activities.
  • Analyze and report on inventory management controls to identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
  • Support record accuracy and maintain the integrity of inventory systems.
  • Act as a liaison between the assembly plant and internal organizations.
  • Collaborate with the supply base, carrier partners, and cross-functional teams to resolve top issues.
  • Interact with all levels of the organization, including hourly, salary, bargaining, and executive leadership.
