About The Position

Material Coordinator Essential Responsibilities: Performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Building and maintaining a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. Building and maintaining an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced Utilizing analytical abilities to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting to 20-50 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of material/supply functions, either in the military services or in commercial applications.
  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.
  • Ability to work in GSS-Army.
  • Must have a valid and current state driver's license.
  • Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check is required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) within 60 days of hire.
  • Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed to perform duties.
  • Must be able to complete paperwork associated with the position as required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, complex environment.
  • Must be able to read and understand Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, Army Regulations and Department of the Army Pamphlets.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must have an ability to meet physical demands and pass any related medical examination requirements required to perform daily assigned tasks.
  • Ability to manipulate and use hand tools and hydraulic equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be available for any shift.
  • Willing to work weekends and other hours as needed.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
