Responsible for forecast scheduling of all purchased parts and outside processor parts. Responsible/ for ensuring monthly inventories from outside processors/container inventories at supply base are turned in and the ERP system is updated as well as cycle counting log for outside processors. Responsible for managing & participating in onsite physical inventories and quarterly inventories for outside processors per Materials Managers’ direction. Responsible for maintaining and continuously updating vendor releases. Responsible for updating ERP (SAP) system parameters to support plant objectives such as new parts, BOMS (purple folders), safety stock, safety days, lead-times, MOQ, etc. Responsible for vendor container fleet calculation with APQP team and all associated launch activities. Responsible for balancing vendor orders and schedules daily to meet customer requirements. Responsible for planning inventory levels and economic production quantities. Responsible for ensuring that weekly/monthly forecasts are updated on a weekly basis. Manage inventory from outside warehouses (Butler) to ensure we have parts in house when needed to support production requirements/ shipments. Manage inventory within ERP system for warehouse moves. Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts. Participate in Kaizen (min of 2 per year) and GEAR activities. LPA (layered process audits) performed as scheduled (weekly). Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the GENERAL PROCEDURES section of the level II Procedure manual. Follow all DEPARTMENTAL GENERAL PROCEDURES as well as procedures for this position as indicated in the level III Procedure manual. Work in a safe manner always. Work in compliance and conform to IATF and ISO standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Must have proficient PC skills, including the ability to create and interpret spreadsheets and word processing documents. Current experience working with materials management software is required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of three years’ experience in materials, preferably working in an automotive manufacturing environment. Good computer skills. Ability to use Microsoft Office software. Proficient in Excel and Microsoft word Ability to assume responsibility and corresponding authority and accountability. Results oriented. Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills. Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
