About The Position

The Laborer performs a variety of tasks under close supervision of higher-level employees to build ground protection mats. These tasks may include assisting with extra workload, covering absences and vacations, and supplementing crews to meet unusual changes in the production area or in the weather. The duties and responsibilities of a Laborer are all geared toward maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work area while also supporting the overall production goals of the crew.

Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
Must maintain a good attitude and report to work as scheduled.
Able to nail with hammers & sledges.
Able to operate hand & pneumatic tools.
Ability to work in a variety of mat construction roles.
Individual must be eligible to work in the United States, pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check and have a valid drivers license.

Nice To Haves

Previous construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Cleans and lubricates equipment, maintains a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, and readies or puts away tools as assigned.
Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.
Cares for property by cutting grass, repairing yard, pulling and discarding weeds.
Performs any unskilled job at the plant as assigned such as sweeping, pressure washing and painting.
Adhere to Company policy by wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (company provided).
Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee.
