About The Position

MASTER SCHEDULER If chaos has a schedule, you built it. Requirements

  • 8-10+ years in production scheduling, operations, or supply chain in manufacturing
  • Advanced ERP/MRP expertise — you don’t just use it, you fix it
  • Comfortable interfacing with leadership and explaining why the schedule is what it is
  • Able to read and understand drawings, routers, and process specs
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in production scheduling, operations coordination, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment (industrial gas turbine, aerospace, or other high-complexity discrete manufacturing strongly preferred).
  • Advanced ERP/MRP expertise; proven ability to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize scheduling tools.
  • Must have the speaking ability and sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics to enable and adequately perform the job
  • Must be able to sit/stand continuously daily
  • Must be able to twist, turn, bend, and reach freely
  • Must have sufficient dexterity in both hands and arms to perform the routine operation of equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial gas turbines, aerospace, or high-complexity discrete manufacturing (strongly preferred)
  • PLEX, specifically, a HUGE PLUS!
  • APICS / ASCM CPIM or CSCP a plus
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP preferred; CFPIM fellowship a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the master production schedule across value streams
  • Translate customer demand into executable, achievable production plans
  • Balance capacity, materials, and priorities — then rebalance when things change (because they will)
  • Lead and guide schedulers to ensure consistency and best practices
  • Run what-if simulations to assess risks before they become problems
  • Partner with Materials, Operations, and Leadership to protect on-time delivery
  • Identify bottlenecks early and drive corrective action
  • Continuously improve scheduling processes, ERP usage, and communication
  • Provides guidance, oversight, and subject matter expertise to scheduling team members to ensure consistent practices across value streams.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of integrated master schedules that align customer demand with production capacity and material availability.
  • Ensures production schedules are achievable, optimized, and support organizational goals for on-time delivery, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Maintains strong knowledge of customer requirements, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards to ensure schedule integrity and compliance.
  • Own the master production schedule, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with confirmed customer orders, delivery commitments, and available capacity.
  • Lead the scheduling process across departments; act as the primary interface between production, materials, and operations to coordinate workload and priorities.
  • Monitor production capacity across value streams and adjust schedules as needed to resolve conflicts, bottlenecks, or material shortages.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to production schedulers to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to scheduling standards.
  • Conduct schedule simulations and “what-if” analyses to assess the impact of changes in demand, capacity, or resources.
  • Proactively identify schedule risks or conflicts and work cross-functionally to implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with materials and inventory teams to ensure required components are available to meet scheduled builds without delays.
  • Drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes, ERP utilization, and communication of production status.
  • Mentor, coach, and assist in the development of team members, serving as a subject matter expert in production scheduling.
  • Act as a liaison with executive leadership to communicate risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Provide input into long-range capacity, capital, and workforce planning.
  • Contribute to business case development for new programs, process changes, or major customer opportunities.
  • Represent the planning function in audits, customer visits, and strategic reviews.
  • Promotion and execution of company mission, directives, and initiatives to successfully achieve goals
  • Perform all work within the scope of abilities while acting in line with all quality and safety policies and practices
  • Oversees and assumes other duties and activities as able and assigned
