The Mascot (Globie) serves as a high-energy brand ambassador for HGI, bringing excitement, engagement, and entertainment to guests at games, appearances, and special events. This role requires strong physical stamina, improvisational ability, and a commitment to delivering a world-class fan experience while always maintaining character integrity. Globie is responsible for creating memorable interactions, executing scripted and improvised performances, and upholding the professionalism and reputation of HGI on and off the court.

Requirements

  • Prior mascot, cheer, dance, theater, or live entertainment experience preferred.
  • Strong physical stamina and body awareness; able to perform athletically in costume.
  • High-energy, confident performer with strong improvisation and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Engaging stage presence with comedic timing and ability to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative team player able to work in scripted and improvised environments.
  • Professional, self-disciplined, and accountable with a positive attitude.
  • Able to travel and work nights/weekends in a fast-paced live show environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform as Globie at all assigned games, appearances, and special events, maintaining full character integrity and brand standards.
  • Execute scripted routines and improvised entertainment moments with strong physicality, expressive body language, and crowd engagement.
  • Collaborate with players, referees, and production teams to deliver a seamless, high-energy, family-friendly show experience.
  • Create and perform approved skits and interactive segments aligned with production direction.
  • Engage fans of all ages and support sponsor activations, community appearances, and promotional events.
  • Participate in rehearsals, pre-show briefings, choreography run-throughs, and storyline elements as required.
  • Clean, maintain, pack, load, unload, and secure mascot costumes, props, and related equipment to ensure performance readiness.
  • Support general operational duties as assigned by the Tour Manager or VP of Operations.
