About The Position

As the Marketplace Seller Onboarding and Incubation Lead , you’ll be a strategic leader responsible for helping new sellers successfully launch on the Best Buy marketplace platform and accelerate their sales ramp. You will lead a team of onboarding specialists to deliver a best-in-class seller experience, guiding sellers through their entire onboarding journey—including store setup, Know Your Customer, payments, catalog management, offer setup, and return processes. Beyond operational readiness, your team will also act as a strategic partner for new sellers, helping them understand how to leverage growth levers such as advertising, promotions, reviews, content optimization, shipping speed, and more. This role bridges operational support with strategic enablement, empowering sellers to confidently launch and thrive within Best Buy’s trusted retail ecosystem. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical thinking, and marketplace expertise to influence category expansion, enhance the seller experience, and deliver measurable GMV impact for new sellers. This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. Requirements

  • 6 years of experience in onboarding, account management, customer success, sales enablement, or related areas.
  • 2 years of experience with online marketplaces, e-commerce, or other digitally focused areas.
  • 3 years of direct people leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience in the marketplace ecosystem, including sellers, integrators, and/or catalog solutions.
  • 3 years of experience supporting and scaling seller or customer programs from onboarding through account growth.
  • 3 years of partnering with technology and operations teams to improve capabilities and drive accretive performance improvements.
  • 2 years of experience with Marketplace Platforms (Mirakl).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive onboarding strategy to accelerate and support sellers through item setup, offer quality improvements, and discoverability levers.
  • Identify, navigate, and manage seller needs by leveraging technology and partner solutions (e.g., APIs, Mirakl Connect, third-party tools, and internal platforms) to enhance the selling experience on Best Buy Marketplace.
  • Collaborate closely with the catalog team to streamline attribute requirements and expedite product setup and approvals.
  • Design and implement a Best Buy Marketplace incubation program to educate sellers on key growth levers, including shipping speed, pricing, advertising, content, and reviews.
  • Partner with the Best Buy Ads team to drive adoption of self-serve advertising products that improve discoverability and exposure while generating incremental revenue.
  • Gather and act on seller feedback, working cross-functionally (e.g., technology, site operations, catalog, and seller support) to advocate for sellers and continuously enhance the platform and overall selling experience.
  • Establish KPIs and detailed measurement plans for the onboarding team, ensuring alignment with Marketplace objectives and consistent progress reporting to senior leadership.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of onboarding specialists to consistently achieve onboarding goals and revenue targets.
