About The Position

The Marketing Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Marketing Specialist is an important individual contributor to Marketing. They are expected to be collaborative, results driven, organized with a keen attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and deliver flawless execution of their projects. The Marketing Specialist will work with a range of clients within and beyond NM. The Marketing Specialist is an important individual contributor within the Marketing division. They support the manager/team in identified projects that often include multi-tasking various projects with the ability to anticipate and communicate needs of the project with the manager. The Marketing Specialist creates building blocks of NM’s marketing plans and, in doing so, learns fundamentals of strategic marketing. They are expected to be collaborative, results driven and deliver flawless execution of their projects

Requirements

  • Video editing expertise (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation design.
  • In‑app social media design knowledge (Reels, Stories, carousel posts, trending audio, transitions, native copy features, etc.).
  • Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Workfront).
  • Strong cross-team collaboration and communication.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with physicians and researchers.
  • Understanding of storytelling and script writing.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple social media platforms.
  • Strong filming and camera operation experience (framing, lighting, audio).
  • Extensive video filming and editing experience, including short‑form content for social media.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and researchers.
  • Familiarity with social media KPIs.
  • Social media copywriting experience (AP style preferred).
  • Solid understanding of storytelling and script writing.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of comparable experience.
  • An additional 2-3 years of experience in related field.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills with a proactive and constructive attitude.
  • Strong filming and camera operation experience (framing, lighting, audio).
  • Extensive video filming and editing experience, including short‑form content for social media.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and researchers.
  • Familiarity with social media KPIs.
  • Social media copywriting experience (AP style preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of healthcare industry and academic medical centers preferred.
  • Agency or client-side healthcare marketing experience/internship.
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Support the manager in the execution of assigned/identified projects:
  • Understands the scope and objectives of assigned projects and delivers against those objectives.
  • Develops key elements of the marketing plan and/or the creation of marketing materials.
  • Supports strong internal client relationships by understanding internal client needs, delivering high quality materials/plans, and effectively managing feedback.
  • Support the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute with video production, visual communication, and social media initiatives for consumer and physician audiences.
  • Plan, film, and edit videos for research activities, educational programs, social media, and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to capture surgical techniques, procedural demonstrations, case studies, and interviews.
  • Design and produce visually engaging PowerPoint presentations for conferences, lectures, and meetings.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies across BCVI reputation channels.
  • Assist with social media planning and execution, including overseeing LinkedIn accounts for BCVI physician leaders.
  • Work closely with marketing, research, education, and clinical teams to align video and presentation content with strategic goals.
  • Attend conferences and events to capture video content and create assets for social media and promotional use.
