About The Position

The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is a faith‑based, nonprofit organization committed to gospel‑centered restoration and church‑focused ministry across North America. As the Marketing Project Management Lead in Alpharetta, you will proactively manage marketing projects from intake through delivery, strengthen relationships with ministry partners, coordinate vendors and production, and ensure marketing work advances NAMB’s mission. Your leadership will enable high‑quality, timely communications that support church engagement and gospel‑centered ministry. This position will support NAMB’s ministry objectives by serving as the primary project manager for assigned marketing brand teams. You will translate strategy into clear project plans, manage timelines and resources, liaise between ministry partners and creative teams, steward vendor and procurement processes, and track outcomes to drive continuous improvement. You will work closely with the Marketing Strategist, ministry partners, and the Research & Marketing team to deliver contextualized, mission‑focused marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience; or three or more years’ related experience and/or training.
  • 3+ years project management experience in marketing or related fields preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop project briefs, manage timelines, and deliver projects on schedule.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience with vendor coordination, procurement processes, and invoice management.
  • Proficiency with, or willingness to learn, project‑management software (Asana preferred).
  • Ability to work onsite in Alpharetta for collaboration and event/production coordination; ability to perform light physical tasks associated with events.
  • Demonstrates a mature Christian walk rooted in Scripture, prayer, and active church involvement; alignment with Baptist theology and NAMB’s statement of faith.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Warm, positive personality with integrity, energy, and genuine interest in ministry service.
  • Enjoys healthy, affirming relationships and exhibits modest deportment and sound personal finances.
  • Active involvement in a local Southern Baptist church and a heart for sharing Christ.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or CAPM certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects end‑to-end: manage intake, scope, timelines, resources, approvals, and delivery.
  • Serve as project manager for an assigned marketing brand team.
  • Partner with the Marketing Strategist to translate strategy into actionable project plans using project‑management best practices and approved software.
  • Act as liaison between ministry partners and the marketing team, provide clear objectives, context, and direction to minimize rework.
  • Develop detailed project briefs defining scope, tactics, deliverables, approvals, and success criteria.
  • Maintain proactive communications, manage expectations, secure approvals, provide status updates, surface risks, and outline next steps.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships, coordinate with Procurement for timely work orders and production readiness.
  • Ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely.
  • Assist in the organization and upkeep of approved project‑management and marketing support software (Asana familiarity preferred).
  • Evaluate project outcomes, document lessons learned and implement process improvements.
  • Contribute creative and practical solutions to scope and execution challenges.
  • Provide administrative support and contribute to additional team initiatives as assigned.
