Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories seeks a professional and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Marketing Operations Intern in Pullman, WA. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part time during the school year and full time during the summer. This internship will involve assisting with organic search optimization across SEL’s digital properties. This role focuses on keyword research, onpage optimization, documentation, and reporting. As a Marketing Operations Intern, a typical day might include the following: Support marketing staff in activities such as projects, administrative support, and preparing marketing and communications materials, reports, presentations, and spreadsheets. Conduct research and map keywords to relevant pages and content briefs. Update and maintain SEO reports and dashboards. Monitor analytics platforms for issues and areas of opportunities. Perform technical SEO checks including crawlability, indexation, sitemap, and robots.txt reviews and structured data validation. Have strong computer, proofreading, organization, and filing skills. Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills. Can learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework or practice experience in SEO or digital marketing. Familiarity with search engine fundamentals and how web pages are discovered, crawled, and indexed. Experience with analytics ans SEO tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Excel, or similar. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for onpage optimization and quality checks.
